LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – CES starts on January 8 in Las Vegas. The largest electronics show in the world contains many new products and technologies.
The big story this year is how many technology companies work together.
5G wireless is also in the spotlight and has an effect on everything from smartphones to self-driving cars.
But do not expect that many of the new products will soon appear at CES in the real world.
Instead, the show and its products offer a sort of roadmap to the future. Many of the products will not be available to the general public for at least a few years.
Speaking of the general public, they are not admitted to the show. It is only open to professionals from the industry. More than 180,000 people are present at this year's CES, which will have more than 4,500 exhibits.
