See the new driving mode from Tesla for race tracks of Model 3 Performance cars

Tesla has developed a special driving mode for its Model 3 Performance cars, specially designed for powerful driving and racing.

Track mode

The change, which was unveiled on Thursday, further establishes the performance version of the Model 3 as a car that is intended to race on tracks in competitions or by enthusiasts.

Cars usually have stability and traction control systems that ensure that the car does not shift under different conditions – for example, when it makes a sharp turn. But sometimes drivers want to slide a little bit when they take a turn – it can even improve speed.

Tesla said it has replaced the typical drive system that prevents the tires from slipping through corners with its own internal "Vehicle Dynamics Controller", which improves performance on a track when Track Mode is enabled. The driving mode of the car can be changed at the touch of a button.

The maker of the electric car said that the system uses inputs to shift the car as much as a driver wants in a turn. It bases its adjustments on the behavior of the driver. If the car does not slide sufficiently, it sends power to the rear wheels. If it slides too much, it sends a power to the front wheels to straighten the vehicle.

Here is how it looks:
