Skoda stopped the sale in Russia Octavia in the performance of RS, Scout and Laurin & Klement. These versions of the model have disappeared from the catalog of the brand in our country. Moreover, the Octavia with 1.8-liter (180 hp) engine can not be ordered with "mechanics", the car is only available with a 7-step "robot" -SGG. But that is not all, the Russians will have to do without the Octavia four-wheel drive.
The reason why these versions have left our market is very simple. All the above cars have been brought to Russia from abroad. And more recently in the Czech Republic we produce cars that meet the latest environmental standards Euro 6d Temp. Apparently the Czech car manufacturer has deemed their certification in our country impractical, reports "Autoreview".
As the edition also notes, the versions that will no longer be sold in the Russian Federation were not very popular on the market – so dealers could only sell 526 of such machines all year round, which accounted for 2% of the total sale of the model.
Octavia Scout was sold in our country from 2 071 000 rubles, RS – from 2 396 000 rubles, the usual version of Octavia costs 1 021 000 rubles.
Note that Octavia is generally popular in our country. In August sales of this model increased by 5.6%: car owners were 1,857 customers (August 2017: 1,759 units).
In July, the "WG" reported that the Skoda Octavia lift, produced at the GAZ Group car plant in Nizhny Novgorod, began to supply the markets of European countries. Until the end of the year Volkswagen Group Rus plans to export 10 thousand cars of this model.
