Auto experts ranked SUVs with the highest fuel consumption. Experts noted that the list uses passport data on consumption, but not really, which, depending on the operating conditions, may differ from the specifications stated by the car manufacturer, the Daily Motor reports.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 opens the fifth line in the "voracious" rating of cars under SUVs. A car with an 8-cylinder unit for 309 horsepower on a passport in urban areas consumes 18.2 liters per 100 kilometers and in the combined cycle – 13.9 liters.
The fourth place went to Chevrolet Tahoe. The 426 hp petrol unit in the city consumes 17.1 liters of fuel per "hundred", and in mixed mode – 13.4 liters.
Connect the top three of the Japanese Lexus LX570. The consumption of this model with an 8-cylinder petrol engine with 367 hp equals 20.2 liters of petrol per 100 kilometers. On leaving the city, this figure is reduced to 14.4 liters.
The second line in this ranking went to the Infiniti QX80 with a 405 hp engine, which consumed 22 liters when driving in an urban environment for every 100 kilometers and 14.5 liters in mixed mode.
The most voracious was the German Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG. The SUV is powered by a 630 hp petrol unit, and the weight of the car is more than 3 tons. In order for such a car to have good dynamics, it must use at least 22.7 liters of AI-95 in urban environments and 17 liters in mixed mode.
