A few years ago we visited the factory in Hyundai in St. Petersburg, and here is a new work trip to St. Petersburg. At this time – to study the production cycle of cars & # 39; s Nissan. And not without reason. According to Igor Boytsov, director general of the factory in Nissan Manufacturing Rus, Belarus is one of the most important foreign markets.

Last year the company produced 56,500 cars and in our country 3,091 Nissan cars from the Russian assembly were officially sold. At the same time, the Almera sedan and X-Trail crossover were the best-selling in its class: 940 and 703 units. respectively. As we know, the release of the affordable "Almer" was discontinued in October 2018, so now the plant is planning a new product – the updated Nissan Qashqai crossover. We will get to know him.
Peter met frost and an abandoned airport. In the morning, even the national "Minsk" is seen as a lively anthill, and in Pulkovo life is stopped. Rare passengers and clearly bored taxi drivers showed no interest in the group of Belarusian journalists. Just think: we were not even greeted with friendly Nissan employees with Russian Nissan signs! It turned out that the formalities had to be ignored: one day more than 100 journalists from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan were invited to the installation. Tusovka collected quite large, so that all the courtesies simply did not have enough.
The factory is located one hour from the airport. This company is smaller than another important player in this industrial cluster – HMMR. Nevertheless, Nissan Manufacturing Rus has a full cycle production (up to 100 thousand cars per year), stamping parts of the body, welding, painting and assembling three models: Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano. Last year the Almera assembly was stopped and the hybrid version of the Nissan Murano also lost its registration on the conveyor belt.
Only crossovers. The current model range of Nissan in Russia consists exclusively of SUV
"And where is the Juke?" – fans will ask for this bright and charismatic SUV. And he flew away and, unfortunately, it is unlikely that he will return. It is a fact that the "Juke" imported from the UK, and Nissan Qashqai gathered in Russia. Moreover, the second generation Nissan Juke has risen considerably in price and is simply irrational to carry an unusual crossover, creating forced price competition within the model range. Agree, the consumer is not able to buy even a stylish but small small car for the price of a solid and better equipped "Kashkai".
Steel is mainly bought abroad, but in some elements there is a Russian made metal
In the near future, the St. Petersburg plant will focus entirely on the production of crossovers. As managing director of Nissan in Russia, Andrei Akifev said: "this strategy is adopted and is being implemented, cars that are not crossovers will not be on the market." Actually, the same Nissan Leaf, Micra or Navara are not cross-overs, meaning that one should not wait for their localization in the near future.
They say wages in the factory of 40 thousand rubles and higher. The service lasts 8 hours, 2 breaks are provided
In general, at the beginning of 2019 the localization rate of the Nissan plant was 63.8%. And this is more than that of our domestic company "BelGI" (51.2% in September 2018). With the exception of the punch workshop, the production methods of cars are very similar to those of the Belarusian car giant: body panels are welded by robots, the assembled body is manually controlled by people, then the body is cleaned from minor roughness, vacuum and sent to the spray booth.
All processes, except the painting mystery, were shown to our group by specially trained men. They also talked about the nuances of production. Plastic parts are therefore poured directly into the factory. It takes less than a minute to make a piece, for example a bumper.Brake and fuel lines are made in a separate workshop, but they are produced by an external company and thus save on logistics and delivery. But the motors and transmissions are assembled at the factory. It does not exclude the possibility of installing a localized Jatco variator (JF015E) when this node is assembled at one of the locations of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance in Russia.
Another characteristic of Nissan Manufacturing Rus are autonomous AGV robot trolleys, which were developed by engineers from the same company. Their main goal is the delivery of bodies or other necessary parts to workstations on welding or assembly lines. Depending on the assigned tasks, robots differ in size. The largest can carry a load weighing up to 1.5 tons, small ones are lighter than tools and spare parts.
AGV robot platforms – own development of the Russian Nissan factory
Silently squeaking, like a mouse in a labyrinth, they walk to a black magnetic tape. The route is laid throughout the plant and each AGV is individual. In the welding shop, for example, there are more dimensional machines with a built-in battery, which the robots themselves recharge at the base.
More than 100 AGV rolls around the plant. Some robots go to the base to load themselves, others let the person's battery change
The assembly line is maintained by smaller cars. Gel batteries are removable and must be replaced after each work shift. They say that the load lasts 8 hours, after which a specially trained person replaces the battery. There are more than a hundred such robot platforms at the factory. With a value of 800 thousand rubles and more.
The cost of such a machine – 800 thousand rubles. And that, consider the price of Nissan Terrano!
The company plans to expand routes and introduce robot technology more actively. At the same time, employees who have previously done physical work are not dismissed, but switched to more complex technical positions. Robots are robots and nobody has completely abolished human control.
We enter the final stage when the painted body is sent to the final assembly hall. Then there are several messages to check the quality of the end product: inspectors inspect the car carefully, look in the saloon and inspect the bottom, sign and send the car to take a dive to check for leaks. At the end of the tunnel – a bright light, whereby the quality of the painting is selectively controlled. Everything! The new Nissan Qashqai is ready to go to the test site and then to the first owner.
Hybrid versions of the Nissan Murano are no longer released. In 2018 only 5 such cars were sold.
Although it would be better to say "updated" Qashqai "." After all, the car has retained the familiar look and has only retained the sophisticated optics at the front and rear. In the interior – the same story. Easy marafet barely notices a simple man on the street. Much more serious changes were made to the suspension of the vehicle (they promise better road holding and higher energy consumption), sound insulation (special attention was paid to wheel arches and the floor), available options (not immediately, but the autonomous operating system ProPilot will Russia work) and an updated engine way.
So instead of the 1.2-liter DIG-T (J11) a 1.3-liter turbo engine will appear under the bonnet of the Nissan Qashqai of the Russian assembly. New Generation. However, it is not yet known what kind of power (in the EU this engine goes to 140 or 160 hp). The atmospheric four liters of 2 liters with 144 forces will continue, but the 1.6-liter diesel engine will be removed from the range. The reason is the low demand on the domestic market.**
At the presentation they showed us the updated "Qashqai", but they were not allowed to look in the car. How symbolic! Like, wait a minute, the first batch left the assembly line just a week ago. Wait at least one month before the start of the sale. All information about the new product will appear closer to April. At the same time the prices and configuration are announced. But now it is clear that the refreshed Qashqai will definitely go up. As we whispered in my ear, "somewhere in the 3-5%."
