Work & # 39; Explosion of the mystical faith & # 39; of Salvador Dalí replaces Rafael & # 39; s & # 39; Virgen de la Roca & # 39 ;, which was on show at the Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres until the beginning of January, and focuses on the second part of the exhibition & # 39; Dali-Rafael. A long dream. & # 39; & # 39; Explosion of mystical belief & # 39; is a painting of large dimensions and little known, which until now was in a corner of an installation under the dome and could be seen through the reflection of a mirror. Visitors can now see it in its entirety in the Hall of the Loggies and are accompanied by two sketches of the creative process, as well as other elements of the first phase of the exhibition.
The painting will take the place of the "Verge de la Roca" oil by Rafael, which was temporarily loaned by the Prado Museum on the occasion of the campaign & # 39; The vuelta por España & # 39 ;. In November the Dalí Theater-Museum opened the exhibition with the & # 39; Virgen de la Roca & # 39; and on the one side the Ascension of Saint Cecilia & # 39; from Dalí. The show was posthumously elaborated, one of Dalí's dreams: that his works were exhibited alongside those of Rafael, whom he admired throughout his life.
Dalí fulfills the dream to exhibit with Rafael
Performed between 1959 and 1974, the "Explosion of the mystical faith" has several lectures, including the reproduction of a painting by Rafael, the "Santa Caterina d & Alexandia". Dalí placed the mystical figure in the middle of a mist in the Basilica of St. Peter of the Vatican. The exhibition, which can be seen throughout the year, also includes drawings, books, photographs and the projection of various interviews by Dalí.
