After saying that women share stories of sexual harassment "makes them look weak" and suggests that some of them do "attention seekers", Lindsay Lohan has clarified her remarks and apologized for them.

"However, I have since learned that statements like mine are seen as painful, which was never my intent," Lohan continued in a statement. "I feel strongly the #MeToo movement and I have the utmost respect and admiration for women who are brave enough to come forward and talk about their experiences".

This is in stark contrast to his controversial statements at the start of this week. "I really hate myself for saying this, but I think women who speak against all these things make them look weak when they're very strong women," Lohan said. "You have these girls who go out, who do not even know who they are, who do it for attention … This is taking away from the fact that it happened."
