Almost a year after her election as Miss Pévèle 2017, qualifying for Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2018, Meggy Pinte heard on Monday that she could not claim a place in the Miss France competition.

On 11 November 2017 Meggy Pinte followed in Beuvry-la-Forêt, near Valenciennes, Maëva Coucke as Miss Pévèle. It is next to the one that became Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2017 and that Miss France 2018 would be that the young woman received his scarf and crown. Last Monday, just five days before the ceremony in Orchies, Meggy Pinte was informed by the regional committee that she was ultimately not eligible for the Miss France competition. "It has been decided that due to legal disagreements (concerning my earlier experiences as Miss Opal Coast and Dauphine Miss Aerospace France), I do not conform to the regulations of the company Miss France", the young woman explained. "I am sad and disappointed, so it is Juliette Watrelot, my first runner-up, who represents La Pevèle on Saturday for Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais."

In October 2014 she participated in Miss European 2014 in Dublin. The representatives of the town of Desvres, from which Meggy Pinte originated, expressed their anger after the late decision of the Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais Commission for Miss France.
