Almost a year after her election as Miss Pévèle 2017, qualifying for Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2018, Meggy Pinte heard on Monday that she could not claim a place in the Miss France competition.
On 11 November 2017 Meggy Pinte followed in Beuvry-la-Forêt, near Valenciennes, Maëva Coucke as Miss Pévèle. It is next to the one that became Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2017 and that Miss France 2018 would be that the young woman received his scarf and crown. The 21-year-old pharmacist was assured of participation in the Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais edition of 2018 and for eleven months he has kept the dream of belonging to the 30 candidates for Miss France 2019.

Last Monday, just five days before the ceremony in Orchies, Meggy Pinte was informed by the regional committee that she was ultimately not eligible for the Miss France competition. "It has been decided that due to legal disagreements (concerning my earlier experiences as Miss Opal Coast and Dauphine Miss Aerospace France), I do not conform to the regulations of the company Miss France", the young woman explained. "I am sad and disappointed, so it is Juliette Watrelot, my first runner-up, who represents La Pevèle on Saturday for Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais."
