25. Virginia Tech
Class size: 23 (seven 4 stars, 16 3 stars)
The biggest NSD news: flipping 4-star guard Doug Nester from the state of Ohio it was a huge get for Justin Fuente's program. The Hokies desperately needed offensive talent. They also signed a 3-star quarterback Knox Kadum, who led the high school in Rome (GA) in the state back to back leagues in 2016 and 2017.
Strengths / weaknesses: The Hokies helped to renew their attack with four guards, three pass-catchers and several athletes who could stay on that side of the ball. Their weakness is the lack of high-end prospects. Losing the talent of the elite state is not a puzzle, but it hurts.
Class size: 23 (eight 4 stars, 14 3 stars)
The biggest NSD news: Stanford was done early, making it a peaceful National Signing Day. Keeping the 4-star receiver Elijah Higgins far from the competitors it was a great victory while the Cardinal rebuilt their body as a director.
Strengths / weaknesses: Their three best recruits are offensive players with large size and athleticism, which means that the Cardinal has adequately increased their explosiveness with this class. Expect Higgins, rushing back to Austin Jones, and concentrate Branson Bragg on becoming key contributors sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, Stanford had to settle for a lower level talent to complete the class, dragging down his cumulative probability rankings.
Class size: 19 (a 5 stars, two 4 stars, 16 3 stars)
The biggest NSD news: It was a quiet day for Wisconsin, which is actually good because of how talented it was already in its class. Four-star quarterback Graham Mertz it could change the way the program is watched if it proves worthy of the rankings and hype in the future.
Strengths / weaknesses: Five-star offensive equipment Logan Brown and 4-star equipment Joe Tippmann seems to be the future of the program along the line. Unfortunately, the Badgers have not been able to add more speed to their receiver and groups go back to improve their gaming potential.
Class size: 25 (11 4 stars, 14 3 stars)
The biggest NSD news: The head coach of Arkansas Chad Morris had an incredible lesson considering that the Razorbacks have won only two games last year. The team has signed the most 4-star recruits in its history and acquired former quarterback SMU Ben Hicks, which Morris has now successfully landed twice after recruiting him to the Mustangs in 2015.
Strengths / weaknesses: The sheer talent that the Razorbacks have added is enormous for the program. They should see a lot of shots from this group of freshmen while Morris rebuilds the roster. Unfortunately, Wednesday did not go entirely as planned, as they lost two throws. Cornerback Adonis Otey is committed to the USC, and linebacker Lakia Henry eventually decided on Ole Miss.
21. State of Mississippi
Class size: 21 (a 5 stars, five 4 stars, 15 3 stars)
The biggest NSD news: Lose on both 4-star defensive Charles Moore and 3-star receiver TJ Jones after recruitment, both players have withdrawn this class from rising SEC degrees.
Strengths / weaknesses: The Bulldogs have been fueled with some elite prospects, including 5-star tackling Charles Cross and 4-star quarterback Garrett Shrader. Individually, it is impressive how big the average Bulldog recruitment is for their position. Also the 3-star tackle Nick Pendley and the Javeious Purvis safety were measured at 6 "," 290 lbs and 6 ", 195 lbs, respectively. The negative is that their average score is low for the SEC, ending eleventh in the conference, for 247Sports.
