The Spice Girls added two more dates to their reunion tour after the fans vented their frustration as they tried to buy tickets.

The group, which will be back on the road together next year without Victoria Beckham, has announced that they will play extra dates in London and Manchester.

The Spice World tour will now start at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on May 31, 2019, instead of June 1st.

They will play an additional date at Wembley Stadium in London on June 15th.

Fans struggled to secure tickets for the live shows, pushing the Ticketmaster website to write on Twitter: "Morning Spice fans! It's a very busy morning and we're selling tickets fast.

"To ensure fair access, some of you may see the queues, please follow the instructions."

One fan wrote on Twitter: "@TicketmasterUK how anyone is supposed to buy tickets for # SpiceWorld2019 when" something went wrong "continues to show ????? Absolutely ridiculous!"

Another said: "No @TicketmasterUK, there is no problem with my connection! Your website can not handle Cheers #igiveup traffic."

Others have expressed anger at the fact that the tickets were already present at the resale sites. One wrote: "Absolutely irreducible, it continues to be kicked in. Somehow, these tickets are already on hundreds of other websites.

Another said: "@TicketmasterUK You're kidding me I've been in the front row since they were put on sale, continuing to receive the error message and people have already bought them and put them on stubhub for a RIDICULOUS sum of money, come and fix things. "

However, others celebrated their success, with a fan who said: "INDEX THAT GOING TO THE # SPICEWORLD2019 NEXT YEAR !!! I'm literally crying, a dream come true."

Another wrote: "I can not believe I received TICKETS !!! So so incredibly excited! Ha-Si-Ya KEEP WAITING !!!!"

Ticketmaster reassured fans and urged them not to give up, tweeting: "The site is humming and many of you will receive your @SpiceGirls tickets this morning!

"If you're still in line, do not worry, there are a lot of tickets to go around – in addition to 2 new shows."
