After a decade and 20 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are eager to see how the fight against Thanos ends Avengers 4. But many hope to see some return faces, even if they have not been seen for a while.
A new fan theory points to the return of Thor's former love interest, Jane Foster, with some important references from previous Marvel films that kicked off his return. Take a look below:
In Thor The Dark World, Jane Foster refers to an Asguardian machine as a "Quantum Field Generator". Could his involuntary talk about Avengers 4 have to do with the Quantum Realm? from r / FanTheories
As the theory states, Thor: The Dark World he makes the initial setup for the possibility when Jane interrogates Asgard's Soul Forge, comparing it to a quantum field generator. Explain its purpose specifically by saying that it "transfers molecular energy from one place to another".
This could link to the events of Ant-Man and the Vespa, in which the franchise has done a lot of heavy work in the creation of the Quantum Realm, where the limits of the possibilities have yet to be tested. While Janet van Dyne warns Scott Lang in the film's post-movie scenes, he needs to watch out for the Time Vortexes in the Quantum Realm.
Many fans have speculated that this would lead to time travel to play an important role in the sequel Avengers: Infinity War, along with still photos and other items that have broken around the film.
It remains to be seen if Foster survived the shot, but if he did (and if it is in the film), then there is no doubt that he would be a powerful ally in the Avengers' attempts to cancel the effects of the pop Thanos.
It would be a good place to reintroduce Foster to Marvel fans, provided the actress Natalie Portman is late to return. And while she has a busy schedule, it seems like there's still a chance for her to be added Avengers 4 if she has not already been.
The Hulk actor, Mark Ruffalo, recently starred in the Marvelists podcast and spoke about the upcoming film, revealing that they have not yet blocked the final.
"We're not just doing the filming, we're going to end the movie, that we could not finish it completely when we left last year … I do not even know that they know exactly," Ruffalo said. "Some of these events happen while we're there, it's really amazing, and we'll shoot some things and a few days later we'll come back to it because we want to take it in a different direction. 39: blocked image, we are still working on it. "
We'll see if Foster returns, and potentially becomes the new Thor, when Avengers: Infinity War premieres in theaters on May 3, 2019.
