The global suicide rate has fallen since 1990. Suicide rates worldwide fall by more than 33% between 1990 and 2016, according to a new study published on BMJ. The researchers cite the improvement of access to health care, the improvement of socioeconomic conditions in poor nations and other related factors such as the likely reasons for the decline.
