Since he released "Complicated" and his debut album Let it go in 2002, Avril Lavigne was a household name in music. After setting itself up as a pop-punk feat with the album "Sk8er Boi" and the mall-grunge aesthetic, the adolescent of Napanee, Ontario, has spent the next decade and a half growing and browsing in a panorama of the industry and the media that has tried to cram it. Along the way, Lavigne's music has released its growth and personal life, selling over 40 million albums worldwide; he is now the third highest selling Canadian artist of all time.

1. His first touch with fame was singing with Shania Twain when he was only 15 years old.
After winning a national radio singing competition, he performed with Shania Twain, at the height of his fame, at the Corel Center in Ottawa. 2. Avril Lavigne met both her future husbands for the first time on the same night of 2002.
