1) The keto-vegan
In 2018 the ketogenic diet increased enormously in popularity, with regimes such as Whole30 and the Keto Reset diet, in which all carbohydrates, grains and sugar were avoided in favor of vegetables, animal fat and meat. There is no doubt that it helped with weight loss and the Australian filmmaker Pete Evans even controversially claimed in his 2018 documentary The Magic Pill that it could cure cancer.
