SUMMMERLIN, Nev –
A Nevada boy who is fighting cancer is begging the audience after someone stole his chemotherapy medicine right in front of his porch.
Home surveillance shows a man ripping two parcels from his front door at Summerlin.
Gage Haynes, 14, told KLAS-TV that she takes eight pills called Ryedapt every day.
"I have systemic mastocytosis, it's a rare form of cancer and it's been happening to me all the time, so I'm used to it," Haynes said. "Now we've finally found a way to help him, my whole life has never been anything," Haynes said.
Haynes was diagnosed when she was only 6 months old. Since then his mother says he has entered and exited the hospital.
"I worked hard to get it, I did financial assistance because it costs $ 40,000 a month because it's not approved by the FDA for children under 18," said her mother Shakala Alvaranga.
Haynes says he just wants the medication back.
"It helps me a lot, I would feel much better, so I can go to school, get good grades, get a job, so please return it," he said.
