Fair raiders had to be lowered to the ground with ropes today after crying. Children spent two hours in the air when a wheel flew off a roller coaster.
Twenty-one people were stuck on the Crazy Train ride, in Gulliver's World in Warrington, which did not work at about 1:00 PM.
Parents on the ground were distraught that they could not reach their offspring and some were angry that the park staff and the emergency services took them up to 3.35 pm to get everyone out of the small attraction's carriages.
A mother, of whom the seven-year-old was one of those who was stuck during the ride, told the Liverpool Echo: "The wheel just flew away and the ride stopped.
"Staff had no idea what to do and flutter – parents had to call the emergency services, children crying and shouting – including my daughter – it's just terrible."
