CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – An important multi-state drug trade organization was brought down earlier this morning with the arrests of several drug traffickers operating between Charleston, WV and Akron, Ohio.
The arrests on Monday, November 5, 2018 were the result of a lengthy investigation in which more than 600 grams of fentanyl, 1400 grams of heroin, more than 700 grams of methamphetamine, more than $ 12,000 and eight guns were seized.
The number of seized drugs would have been sufficient to kill nearly 300,000 people.
US lawyer Mike Stuart says they will not tolerate this any longer.
"The days of lawlessness on the west side are over, be it clear, the days of lawlessness and drug dealers on the west side of Charleston are over, one last point., For those who have not been arrested today who trade drugs and cause pain on the west, if you think we missed you, you may want to look over your shoulder over the coming weeks and months. We have more ongoing operations on the west side of history today, not being picked up, but you will not escape prosecution. we find you and if we condemn you, we will send you to prison and for as long as we can, "said American lawyer Stuart.
The research is still ongoing and law enforcement, along with state partners, says they continue to work on street drugs.
