TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – A 32-year-old man is dead after being on Interstate 10 on Monday night and being hit by a pick-up truck, FHP said.
The pedestrian was Terry N. Cain, 32, from Bonifay, Florida, said the Florida Highway Patrol Tuesday in a press release.
The accident happened at 9:25 PM. Monday near mile mark 199 when a pick-up truck drove west on Interstate 10 on the outer lane.
The pedestrian walked on the inner shoulder of the western lanes and began to flee the lane from an inner shoulder for an unknown reason, causing the left front of the pickup truck to collide with the pedestrian.
Leon County EMS spoke to the deceased pedestrian on the spot.
Witnesses said that Cain ran close to the road and ran on the outer shoulder of the road before he ran up the road.
FHP reports fatal accident on I-10 in Tallahassee
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – Florida Highway Patrol is at the scene of a fatal traffic accident on I-10.
According to FHP, they were called to I-10 WB near mile marker 199 at about 9:32 am. Monday.
FHP advises drivers to exercise caution in the area.

At the moment we do not know how many cars were involved or that there were other injuries.
