Emmanuel Macron should receive this Friday at the Elysee
Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg, who came to Paris to inspire young Frenchmen who marched for the climate.

For this appointment that the girl of 16 years solicited a few days ago, Greta Thunberg will be accompanied, according to the Elysee, some young Belgians, Germans and French engaged as she in the fight for the climate, and that she wished to have by her side.

High school student demonstrations for the climate

After being the initiator of events for the climate emergency in several European countries, Greta Thunberg came this Friday in Paris to inspire young French, hitherto relatively little mobilized. A thousand of them marched by his side, five times more than the previous week. Accompanied by several other young people from Belgium and Germany, the teenager gave a press conference in front of dozens of journalists.

She had been invited in December to address the 24th UN Climate Conference in Poland. In January, in Davos, Greta Thunberg attacked the world economic elite and its private jets. Since then, the movement has spread in Germany – demonstrations in this country gather weekly often more than 15,000 people since mid-January – in Australia, Belgium, the United Kingdom and more timidly in France.
