TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The fire department of Tallahassee responded to a corporate fire at about 2.30pm. on Monday.
TFD says it arrived at the 1860 block in West Tennessee Street at 2:25 pm. and I saw smoke from a large building.
Officials say the fire broke out in a business that was under construction.
The authorities claim that the fire was quickly located with the help of construction personnel on site and that the fire was extinguished.
TFD says a worker was wounded in an attempt to extinguish the fire and was treated on stage by TFD paramedics. Officials say the worker does not need hospitalization.
Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Authorities say the fire has caused damage for $ 25,000 and that a nearby business has suffered some damage, but it is expected to open soon.
The TFD was assisted on the spot by the Tallahassee police department.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Officials are at the scene of a fire in the Varsity Plaza shopping mall on West Tennessee Street.
The owner of the Super Cuts in the mall told WCTV that the shop next to them was doing the soldering before the insulation caught fire.
Tallahassee firefighters have not released any official details.
There is no information on whether anyone has suffered injuries, but some of the activities in the mall have been evacuated.
