Wales – Spain 1: 4 (0: 3)
A good two and a half years after his last international match Paco Alcácer celebrated a brilliant return. In the 8th minute, he scored the 1-0 for his Spaniard in the match in Wales. It was Alcácer's first goal in the national jersey for more than three years. After a 2-0 from Sergio Ramos, the attacker of Borussia Dortmund even increased to 3: 0 in the 29th minute. Alcácer was replaced by Iago Aspas in the 73rd minute.
A minute later, former Borussia captain Marc Bartra headed home 4-0, before Sam Vokes scored the only goal for Wales one minute before the end. It was after the two successes against England (2-1) and Croatia (6-0), the third consecutive victory for Spain after the knockout stages at the World Cup against host Russia.
France – Iceland 2: 2 (0: 1)
World champion France turned a few days before the home game in the Nations League away against ex-Germany a shame. Despite stars like Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane in the basic line-up, the French against Iceland were already behind 0: 2 by goals from Birkir Bjarnason (30 minutes) and Kari Arnason (58th minute).
Only after Icelandic goalkeeper Holmar had scored Oern Eyjolfsson in the 86th minute, did Didier Deschamps take a second place and in the 90th minute with a Kylian Mbappé penalty.
Poland – Portugal 2: 3 (1: 2)
Without its record-national player Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal also won its second Nations League appearance, leading Group 3 to Liga A after defeating Italy and Poland. The Polish Krsysztof Piatek took the lead in the 18th minute, followed by André Silva (31st minute), Pole Kamil Glik with his own goal (43 & # 39;) and Bernardo Silva (52 & # 39;).
Jakub Blaszczykowski from Poland was only able to score a goal in the 77th minute in a disputed game with six yellow cards. Robert Lewandowksi remained in his 100th international competition without scoring.
Israel – Scotland 2: 1 (0: 1)
Former Bundesliga professional Andreas Herzog has been able to celebrate his first success in the Nations League as coach of the Israeli national team. It caused the first defeat in Albania in the first instance after a new setback: At Break led the guest from Scotland in Haifa by a converted penalty from Charles Mulgrew (25th minute), before Dor Pretz could compensate in the 52nd minute.
The defeat was then attributed to the visitors themselves – only John Souttar saw yellow-red in the 61st minute, fifteen minutes before the end, Kieran Tierney met in his own net.
