A few months ago in China brought on the market, Oppo & # 39; s R17 Pro and its fingerprint sensor under the screen in France. For this occasion the name is changed and is now called RX17 Pro. He also takes the RX17 Neo in his luggage, a lighter version.

That is it. At the end of his presentation conference, Oppo revealed the prices of the RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo. The first is offered for € 599, while the RX17 Neo will have a ceiling of € 349. Both smartphones are available from November 16 in France.
Oppo continues. After landing this summer in France with a poorly positioned R15 Pro and a halftone FindX, the Chinese manufacturer Milan has chosen to launch the European launch of the RX17 Pro, the international version of the R17 Pro released this summer in China. Neither the French release date nor the price has been announced, but it will not last long. During this process the company also introduced the RX17 Neo, a lighter version on the data sheet. We had the chance to get the RX17 Pro during his presentation, a small tour of the owner.
A triple photo module at the back
With its minimalistic notch, the screen borderless and the three sensors at the back, the RX 17 Pro already has a smartphone from the end of 2018. With its tunes from the OnePlus 6T or Huawei Mate 20, it offers a 6.4-inch Oled panel that is displayed in FHD + (2340 x 1080 px) in a ratio of 19.5: 9. A screen that seems reasonably well calibrated. The terminal also offers a good grip. The lock button on the right edge and that of the sound volume, on the other hand, naturally fall under the finger. The fingerprint sensor is placed under the screen at the same location as the OnePlus 6T. It has the merit to be responsive without competing with the Mate 20 Pro, exemplary on this point.
At the rear, the RX17 Pro has a triple photo module. The first and most important offers a sensor of 12 Mpx, supported by a dynamic aperture at f / 1.5 and f / 2.4, depending on the situation. A feature that we already encountered on the Samsung Galaxy S9, for example. The secondary (20 Mpx + f / 2,6) is for portraits. Finally, the third is presented as a "stereo 3D camera" whose functions are not yet available in France. Tested in real state, ie far from our dear scene, this camera seems to deliver good quality photos. We still notice a fluency that is still a bit too present to offer a level of dream realism. The same can be seen on the front module (25 Mpx + f / 2.0) with clean selfies but offers a baby skin. Proud of its software treatment, Oppo promises quality night photo's. Unfortunately, we have not yet had the opportunity to verify it.
The promise of 40% of the battery charged in 10 minutes
Equipped with 6 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 710, Qualcomm SoC inserted between the middle and the high end, the RX17 Pro offers a smooth experience of Android 8.1 and the overlay ColorOS 5.2. The terminal contains two batteries of 1 nbsp; 850 mAh for a total of 3,700 mAh. An atypical arrangement on an Android smartphone, with which Oppo can recharge the terminal even faster. With the supplied VOOC charger, the terminal is expected to gain 40% in just 10 minutes and reach 100% after 40 minutes. Comfortable. Note that the laptop is charged via a USB-C connection, chosen at the expense of the miniplug 3.5 mm.
Neo not to say Light
Besides this RX17 Pro, Oppo has also unveiled the RX17 Neo which is a real twin. So much so that only the positioning of the back-end camera makes it possible to distinguish the two terminals. On the side of the data sheet, this RX17 Neo is clearly positioned as a lighter version with small sacrifices. Namely, only 4 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 660, micro-USB connectivity and the absence of the third photo module at the back. Here the double module (16 + 2 Mpx) is based on a dynamic main sensor / depth sensor. The battery, in one block, is also lighter with 3600 mAh. Finally, we find the same plate, the same fingerprint sensor under the screen and the same photo module on the front.
It remains to be seen what the tariff position of the two terminals will be when they are put on the market in France.
