A Florida court in the United States condemned a citizen to pay a fine of $ 150,000 and $ 70,000 in court fees to Take-Two Interactive, a US-based developer, publisher and distributor of video games.
And for a good reason, the citizen named Jhonny Perez has made a cheat mod for GTA Online, an online multiplayer action adventure video game that uses the gameplay and universe of Grand Theft Auto V.
The author of the mod, however, had apologized for Take-Two and even proposed the distribution of profits to charity, but Rockstar Games' parent company was determined to bring the case to court. Note that the mod was sold for a price between $ 10 and $ 30.
Also remember that the GTA V and GTA Online have brought more than $ 6 billion in profits for Take-Two Interactive.
