At CES 2019, held in Las Vegas, Lenovo introduced the new Legion Y740 and Legion Y540 gaming laptops. A distinctive feature of the device was the graphic GeForce RTX with raytracing support.
The core of laptops is the Intel Core processor line Coffee Lake-H. For example, Lenovo Legion Y740 is equipped with a Core i7-8750H chip.
The maximum number of supported RAM DDR4-2666 is 32 gigabytes.
Lenovo Legion Y740 models can be equipped with both 17-inch and 15-inch screens, and Lenovo Legion Y540 is available in a single version with a 15-inch screen. Screen resolution – Full HD and the refresh rate can be 60 or 144 Hz.
The devices are equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX video chips with support for ray tracing technology. In the older models the chip is implemented as GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q or GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q, and in the lower versions GeForce RTX 2060 is installed.
It is remarkable that the devices have all the basic standards and interfaces, including for example USB 3.1 Gen 2, DisplayPort, HDMI and Thunderbolt 3.
It is noted that the cost of new Lenovo gaming laptops will start from $ 930 for the Lenovo Legion Y540 model. The top version of Lenovo Legion Y740 costs at least $ 1,750.
