Microsoft: help us to test the new game technology on Windows 10 1903 but we will not tell you anything about it

Last night Microsoft released a new build on the Windows 10 Fast Ring Insider Channel. The new build, build number 18334, is a mostly error correction version.

Microsoft announces a new feature in the Windows Experience blog stating however that it is "thrilled to bring technology tailored to games on Windows".

The company wants users running Insider builds of Windows 10 to help "validate these systems" to make sure they work as intended.

Distributes limited copies of State of Decay for this, and publishes instructions to Insider build users on how to get access to the game and play with it. Microsoft promises that it will increase the number of slots available in the coming weeks.

Windows 10 games

Users who take part in the test are asked to report any problems with installation or launching the game using the feedback hub.

Microsoft does not reveal anything about "tailor-made gaming technology" on Windows 10 devices. The entire article and the linked copy on the Xbox website do not offer any information so users are left in the dark.

Is it related to the way games are installed and started? The request to provide feedback in case of installation or start-up problems suggests that this could be the case.

We do not know, however, and it could be something not connected or something else (or an addition) altogether. It could also be the test of a streaming gaming service on Windows 10, as it also concerns the installation and the execution of games.

Lack of information

It is possible that Microsoft does not want to disclose the gaming technology it plans to implement in Windows. He could have said it in the article, however if this is the case.

Whatever the reason, the lack of information will surely drive away some users who might be interested if Microsoft revealed something about the new game technology that they want to test in the new build.

The test request is not the first time that Microsoft does not provide essential information. Up-to-date information, such as known issues, often also lack vital information.

The company could improve its relationships with administrators and customers by providing essential information; it would eliminate requests for support and questions and would help all those involved, including Microsoft.

Now you: What is Microsoft's secret gaming technology that tests in the new build?
