Microsoft has announced that the new generation of Surface PCs is now available in France, not a real revolution on the menu, but a refreshment of three existing models.
The devices were presented in the US last October and presented in a rapid manner, it is difficult to understand why Microsoft will have more than four months to distribute its new products in the hexagon, especially because the launch remains quite discrete.
This new generation with the stamp "Surface Black" is distinguished by an availability that is only in black, but also by considerable power gains, especially because of the integration of the latest generations of chips signed by Intel.
The Surface Pro 6 now comes with an Intel Core i5 i7 8th generation processor, 8 to 16 GB of RAM and a SSD of 128 GB to 1 TB. It offers protons USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, microSDXC and is now proposed from € 1069 for the most affordable configuration.
The Surface Laptop 2 is an ultraportable camera with a 13.5-inch screen of 2256×1504 pixels, weighs only 1.25 kg and has a useful life of 14.5 hours.
The configurations are similar to those of the Surface Pro 6, except that the LapTop 2 has an infrared camera that is compatible with Microsoft Hello Face Recognition. The price starts at 1149 €.
Finally, Microsoft also offers the Surface Studio 2, a 28-inch all-in-one touch screen PC that primarily targets graphic artists with a definition of 4500×3000 pixels. The Surface Studio is pre-calibrated for the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces and is compatible with the Surface Dial wheel for easy handling of graphic editing tools.
At the heart of the machine is an Intel Core i7 processor, 16 to 32 GB of RAM and 1 to 2 TB of storage. The graphical part is supplied by a chip Nvidia GTX 1060 or 1070 and the price of the whole starts at 4150 euro.
