Colonel of Venezuela's forces Ruben Paz Jimenez published a video in social networks, saying that on 23 January he and his people participated in a demonstration to deny President Nicolas Maduro. He added that he recognizes the head of parliament, Juan Guaido, as interim president. Moreover, he recognized the Guayido, as commander of the national armed forces.

"90% of the military are unhappy," the Colonel said, adding that Venezuela's army was used to maintain power.

Jimenez also called himself a doctor and asked the army to skip humanitarian aid, because there are sanitary problems in the country and so the army will save many lives.

Previously, the Venezuelan Air Force General Francisco Esteban Janes Rodriguez swore allegiance to Juan Guaido in a similar way.
