The Panama government will issue stamped visas from Friday for exits and multiple entrances for a 5-year term to Venezuelan citizens, in the midst of the crisis and the exodus affecting the South American nation.
The announcement on Thursday includes other countries such as Cuba, China, India and the Dominican Republic.
It means an extension of the deadline, since until now the valid period for the stamped visa varied from three months to three years.
The National Migration Service of Panama (SNM) reported in a statement that the measure will be adopted by maintaining the Executive Decree 611, which was issued this Thursday and will be applied according to the verification criteria by civil servants.
The purpose of this regulation is "to facilitate travel procedures for tourists and business people who regularly enter Panama and contribute to economic development and growth", according to the SNM.
The Panamanian agency indicated that the length of stay for foreign visitors is 30 days, in accordance with the migration law.
He also confirmed his "obligation to apply the current migration facilities based on full respect for human rights and the laws of the Republic of Panama."
