WARSAW, Poland (AP) &#8211 An adviser to Poland&#8217s president suggests he thinks Israel&#8217s unfavorable reaction to a legislation criminalizing some statements about Poland&#8217s actions throughout Planet War II stemmed from a &#8220feeling of shame at the passivity of the Jews during the Holocaust.&#8221

Andrzej Zybertowicz, a Nicolaus Copernicus University sociology professor who also serves as a presidential adviser, known as Israel&#8217s opposition to the new legislation &#8220anti-Polish&#8221 and said it exhibits the Mideast country is &#8220clearly combating to preserve the monopoly on the Holocaust.&#8221
