Shoot in a hospital in Chicago, three deaths including a policeman

Three people, including a policeman, were shot dead during a gunfight at a Chicago hospital on Monday, November 19 in a personal dispute, US officials said. "We have four deaths: a policeman, two female hospital staff and the criminal"said Eddie Johnson, Chicago's chief of police, during a press conference.

According to the authorities, a little before 3.30 pm local time (9.30 pm in Paris), there was a verbal exchange of words between people who knew each other in the parking garage Mercy Hospital on Monday. A man shot his partner, an employee of the company. When the police arrived, the man entered the hospital. During a firefight with the police, another employee and a member of the police were killed.

The shooter also died, although the authorities could not confirm whether he had committed suicide or if he had been killed by the police. Earlier in the day, the police spokesman said that had happened "shootings (…) near the Mercy hospital », appealing to the population to avoid the area.
